Roger has overall responsibilities for the operation. He has been with Bestar for more than 10 years. He has led the firm through key growth milestones.
With more than 29 years of accounting experience, Roger has considerable experience working on due diligence and transaction support work in relation to acquisitions and restructuring carried out by many of his wide range of clients.
Roger has extensive experience in providing business advisory services to a broad range of clients including technology, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing and trading companies. He is also experienced in strategic planning, reorganization and operations improvement projects for various local companies as part of their globalization and listing efforts.
He works closely with leading private banks to help their clients navigate through the requirements of corporate tax, personal tax, and FATCA/CRS.
Roger graduated with Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the Australian National University. He is a Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), CPA Australia, Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP) and Global-Asia Family Office Circle (GFO Circle).

Angela has more than 25 years audit and commercial experience.
Her industry experience include trading, manufacturing, shipping, retail, property development and not-for-profit.
She had previously worked in 2 of the Big 4 public accounting firms, and was engagement partner of a number of listed companies in Singapore.
She was Involved in a number of successful initial public offerings of clients both in Singapore and overseas.

Emily provides human resource consulting services to companies in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region to support regional business ventures and other people programs.
With extensive consulting experience in helping organizations in multiple sectors, Emily has worked on numerous competencies, performance, and rewards design and implementation projects.
Her experience covers all aspects of human resources consulting, ranging from the design of organization structures and manpower planning to the job and role design.
Other areas include developing a high-performance culture, integration of performance and reward and talent programs, as well as HR process review and optimization, and audit.
Emily has extensive experience in the areas of change management, governance, as well as talent management.
In addition to HR consulting, Emily is also focusing on advising clients on the HR issues involved in mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and other similar transactions.
Emily also focuses on the Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) and counter-terrorism financing risks within Bestar in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. She leads the secretarial department with a focus on AML policy management, customer due diligence remediation, and regulatory review.
She has extensive experience in compliance and AML and corporate governance. She advises companies on compliance frameworks and regulatory compliance matters.
Emily also serves as the Operations Director focusing on managing the performance and operational excellence of the practice.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Tasmania, Australia, and a Diploma in Personnel Management, PSB.

Amran started his career with Deloitte & Touche. His management consultancy work included reviewing the clients’ management reporting processes for controls weaknesses and, in consultation with the relevant stakeholders, recommending the necessary changes to the processes.
His professional experience in audit encompasses extensive exposure to businesses and organisations in various industries including construction, trading, information technology, service, food and beverage, medical and charity.
His past and current experience in public practice includes engagements relating to due diligence work and internal audit. Additionally, his years of experience in external audit provide him with significant exposure to his clients’ internal audit procedures, the assessment of their effectiveness and compliance, as well as the designing of procedures to act as compensating controls where weaknesses have been identified.

Zxun Zn Ang,

Zxun Zn leads the Accounting & Tax team 1 in Bestar.
He started his career as an auditor, before moving to the accounting advisory 2 years ago where he leads the provision of accounting advice to companies on complex transactions including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and the implementation of new IFRSs.
With more than 10 years of experience public accounting in mainly in Singapore, including two years in Malaysia, Zxun Zn has led major audits and performed acquisitions and due diligence reviews for many prominent organisations.
He has extensive experience in the audits of multinational companies (MNC) and local companies spanning various industries, in particular the pharmaceutical, trading and distribution, manufacturing, oil and gas, shipping, postal and e-commerce / logistics, technology, media & telecommunications, real estate, consumer business, transportation and healthcare sectors.
Zxun Zn has also been involved in tax due diligence. He is involved in identifying tax planning opportunities as well as tax planning. He also assists clients to negotiate for tax incentives.
Zxun Zn graduated from the Curtin University of Technology with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance).

IT Director
Ash is responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery of technical functions, combining innovation, intelligence and deep industry experience with the leading technologies of ecosystem partners to help customers reshape their businesses into smart enterprises and carry out large-scale innovations. As the head of IT, Ash is responsible for driving innovation and using emerging technologies to bring the latest innovations to customers around the world.
Ash plays a key role in developing Bestar's technology business to lead and shape the industry. He also formulated Bestar's digital business vision and helped Bestar establish its digital business leadership. He played a role in launching Bestar's SaaS, big data and open source businesses, and played a key role in the company's technology business during the major transition to client/server computing and Internet-based computing.

Paul is the Head of Corporate Secretarial department.
Paul joined Bestar in 2018 and and he is an experienced corporate secretarial professional specialising in the provision of company law compliance and company secretarial services.
Paul and his team take the headache of company law compliance from clients and also provide specialist advice on and assistance with company formations, company share reduction and dissolutions, board and shareholder corporate governance services and share capital transactions.
Paul also has vast experience in secretarial related matters in liquidation and advisory.
He has been assisting in the company secretarial matters for various types of entities, ranging from private limited companies to public companies and non-profit organisations and advising clients in various industrial sectors including manufacturing, telecommunications, construction, property development, financial services, food production & agribusiness, healthcare and energy & natural resources.
He is a B.SC. (Hons) degree holder from University College Sedaya International, Malaysia.

Adrian Ghwee joined Bestar in 2021 and serves as its legal leader.
Adrian had worked at life insurance, fund management and investment management companies for several years.
Adrian focuses on corporate advisory work, encompassing corporate and commercial law, corporate governance and compliance and data protection.
Adrian advises clients on the corporate restructuring exercises and acquisitions or divestments of businesses. Other areas include advice on rights issues, share placement exercises, as well as private equity and venture capital fundraising exercises.
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in Law from University of Exeter, United Kingdom.
Catherine Yau, Leader, Audit
Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting & Finance (Upper Second Class Honours), Catherine has accumulated close to 10 years of auditing and accounting experience in professional practices which have honed her meticulousness mindset and keen eyes for details. As a professional member of Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP), she possesses the capability and competency to provide our valued clients comprehensive financial consultancy, tax advisory and accounting support across Malaysia and Singapore.
Hui Quin Quek, Private Tax & Family Office Leader

Hui Kiun is the Leader for Bestar Private Tax and Family Office, which is dedicated to serving the needs of business owners, family groups, and high-net-worth individuals in areas including international tax, and wealth preservation in Singapore.
Hui Kiun has over 7 years experience in Singapore tax work, specialising in tax advisory services for business families and family offices. As lead of the Family Office practice in Singapore, she has extensive experience helping high-net-worth families with end-to-end solutions for their business structures, business setup, obtaining the relevant tax incentives and licensing exemptions, and advising on immigration planning, exchange of information under CRS.
Hui Kiun works closely with families to help them articulate their vision and values, bring alignment through the creation of the family constitution/agreement amongst family members for the future. She also advises families on the family governance structure.
She works closely with leading private banks to help their clients navigate through the interconnected requirements of corporate tax, personal tax, FATCA/CRS and operational tax.
Hui Kiun is experienced in audit engagements in Singapore and Malaysia for MNCs, SMEs, and listed companies with international operations. Her clients come from diverse sector, including automotive, industrial and consumer product manufacturing, oil and gas, real estate, retail, and aerospace.
